新規ナノ・固体クラスターの高次物性と原子位置直接決定

研究概要	炭素、ホウ素、窒素をベースとしたフラーレンは人と環境に優しく、金属・無機材料と組み合わせ新規ナノ構造を構築することにより高機能・多機能が期待されるため、フラーレン類ナノ構造(C-B-Nナノカプセル・チューブ・クラスター)の新規合成・評価を第一の目的とした。また得られた機能調和材料の原子レベルでの情報から材料設計原理構築を可能にするため、超高分解能電子顕微鏡による極微小領域原子配列の定量的評価法の確立を第二の目的とした。今年度は、アーク溶解法による新規Fe@(BN)_<36>メタロフラーレンの創成、LaB_6・Co・PdによるBNナノチューブ・ナノカプセル合成及びArガス内包等により、新規合成プロセス開発及び新規ナノ構造の創成を達成し、更に微細構造を高分解能電子顕微鏡-EDXにより調べ形成メカニズムを解明し、分子軌道法により原子配列モデル構築、STMによる電気特性評価等を行い、新規BNナノ構造の将来可能性を検討した。さらにFe@(BN)_<36>メタロフラーレン、新規4面体・楕円体Cオニオンを創成し、分子軌道法・DV-Xα法により原子配列モデル構築・構造最適化・電子状態計算・物性予測を行い、将来的なナノデバイス適用可能性を考察した。これらのナノ物質は、今後C系フラーレンとの組み合わせにより、ナノデバイスへの大きな展開が期待される。またB_<12>系高次ボライド中のB_<156>クラスター配列及びドーピング元素原子位置を決定し、原子位置直接決定及び物性発現機構解明に大きく貢献した。
