研究概要

新しい2中心電子反発積分としてnew-γを用いるPPP分子軌道法計算より、電子スペクトルの実測値の再現性の高精度化を目的として以下の研究を行った。非交互炭化水素であるfluoranthene誘導体、acenaphthylene誘導体について、Huckel MO法により求めたHOMOの係数分布から電子スペクトルに主に寄与する部分を判断し、その部分(spectroactive portion(SP))の環数(l)に基づきk値を見積もる方法を検討した。この方法は、交互炭化水素の場合と同様に適切なSPを選択することにより、吸収エネルギーの実測値を良く再現できる計算値を与えることがわかった。なお、PPP MO計算によるacenaphthyleneの結合長は、6-31G^*レベルのab initio計算結果よりも実測値を良く再現していることがわかった。
このようなSpectroactive Portion(SP)を用いる計算では、SPと規定した部分とその他の部分で異なるkの値を用いるのがより正しい方法である。そこで、SPの部分とその他の部分で異なるkを割り振るために、region kという新しい概念を導入した計算プログラムを開発した。ベンゼン環が縮環したポリアセン誘導体を対象とし、region kの有用性の検討を行った。Kの割り振りは、SPの部分にはそれぞれのSPに応じた値を割り振り、残ったベンゼン環のbutadiene部分にはベンゼン環の値を割り振った。また、異なるkが割り振られた炭素間の積分にはそれぞれのk値の平均値を割り振ることとした。その結果、得られた計算値は、全体的にみて、SPを用いたnew-γ法よりも良く実測値を再現することがわかった。また、得られた結合長は、ab initio法(6-31G^*)よりも良く実測値を再現した。
