研究概要	本年度は、イネの多数の突然変異体の中から節間形成と節間伸長に特異性を示す変異体の発育解析を進めるとともに、これら変異体の一部を用いて生理生化学および分子レベルでの発現解析を行った。また、一部の変異体遺伝子のマッピングを行い、遺伝子単離に向けた準備作業を進展させた。具体的に得られた研究成果は以下のようである。 1.節間伸長パターンに変異を示す20種類の変異体を用いて栄養成長期から節間伸長期における発育解析を行って変異体遺伝子の多面発現性を検討した結果、遺伝子座の違いによって種々の発現パターンが存在することが明らかとなった。(北野、服部) 2.これらの変異体の一部を対象にノーザン解析により細胞分裂と細胞伸長関連遺伝子の発現パターンを調べ、変異体遺伝子の作用との関連性を検討した。(魚津) 3.節間の分化と形態形成に異常を示すd50変異体を用いて細胞壁形成に関わる代謝経路の異常を明らかにし、本遺伝子作用との関連を検討した。(片山) 4.変異体遺伝子、d61およびSsilのマッピングを行い、染色体上の座乗位置を明らかにした。(北野) 5.d6遺伝子を単離し、この遺伝子座がイネのホメオボックス遺伝子(OSH15)の変異に起因することを明らかにした。(松岡、北野) 6.培養変異に起因し、節間形成と節間伸長に異常を示す変異体を同定し、TOS17との連鎖関係を調べるための準備作業を進めた。(北野、松岡) 7.これらの研究における現時点での研究成果をまとめ、論文発表を行った。
