研究概要

本研究の目標は、インターネットの急速な普及という情報社会の現状を鑑み、流暢な訳文の生成より、外国語情報をすばやく母国語で拾い読みすることを機械翻訳及び多言語情報検索の目的とする考えに基づき、複雑な構文解析や意味解析などは行わず、単に言語と言語との間の構造関係を用い、スーパー関数に基づく日・中・英多国語機械翻訳の方法論及び構築技術を確立することにある.そのために、大規模な対訳コーパスを構築し、そこから言語間の特徴対応関係を抽出し、この対応関係に基づいてスーパー関数の理論モデルを導出する必要がある.そして、このモデルにより、日・中・英スーパー関数を求め、機械翻訳アルゴリズムと情報検索システムを開発する.今年度では、以下のような研究実績を得た.
1. 日中スーパー関数により、日中翻訳実験を行った.
2.実験結果を分析し、スーパー関数およびスーパー関数の構造を修正した.則ち、変数の部分では名詞と名詞句に限定した.
3.スーパー関数を獲得する支援ツールを再構築した.このツールを利用すると、容易に対訳文からスーパー関数を生成する.
4.スーパー関数に基づく翻訳結果を利用し、多言語情報検索手法を研究した.
5.中国語における漢字と日本語における漢字の特徴を検討した.このような特徴を利用した情報検索方式を研究した.
