植物プランクトン組成と溶存ガス成分の生成過程に関する研究

研究概要	海洋から大気へ放出される硫化ジメチル(DMS)等の地球温暖化に関わるガス成分の多くは、海洋植物プランクトンの生産速度や組成と関わりが深い。一次生産が短期間で活発化する高緯度海域の春季ブルーム期においては、上述のような溶存ガス成分にも、ダイナミックな濃度変化が起こっているものと想像される。本研究では、北海道噴火湾で例年2〜3月頃に起こる春季ブルーム期に焦点を当て、時系列採水装置(平成11年度本補助金による設備備品)、自然蛍光光度計、水温・塩分記録計からなる自動観測装置を設置し、高い時間分解能で植物プランクトンの生産量、現存量及び種組成を調べると同時に、溶存化学成分(栄養塩類,DMS等)の濃度変化を調べ、ブルーム期における環境要因と物質収支を明らかにすることを目的とした。本年度の観測は、以下のような日程で行われた。日時使用した研究船観測項目平成12年12月7〜8日うしお丸採水・時系列採水装置の設置。平成13年1月22〜23日うしお丸採水・時系列採水装置の回収・設置。平成13年2月13〜14日うしお丸採水・時系列採水装置の回収・設置。平成13年3月8〜9日うしお丸採水・時系列採水装置の回収・設置。この回収は平成13年4月に行う予定。平成13年3月17日おしょろ丸採水(昼夜各1回)。平成13年3月20日おしょろ丸採水。得られた試料をもとに、DMSの分析(北海道大学地球環境研究科、渡邊修一)、植物プランクトン組成の解析(北海道大学水産学部、伴修平)、一次生産過程の解析(国立極地研究所、小達恒夫・平譯亨)等が行われる予定である。
