研究概要

1)リーシュマニア病原生虫の媒介昆虫であるSandfly(Lutzomyia longipalpis)のうちブラジルのジャコビナ地方の雄虫が放出するフェロモンである(1S,3S,7R)-3-methyl-α-himachaleneの不斉合成を達成した。
2)イスラエルマツカイガラムシ(Matsucoccus josephi)の性フェロモンとその類似体を多数合成した。天然型性フェロモンはカイガラムシだけではなく、その捕食者(つまり益虫)である甲虫(Elatophilus hebraicus)をも誘引する。合成類似体の一つはフェロモンとしてのみ強い活性を示し、捕食者は誘引しないことを発見した。
3)南仏とスペインでのブドウの害虫であるlonghorn beetle(Vesperus xatarti)の雌の性フェロモンであるvesperal[(S)-10-oxoisopiperitenone]の合成を達成した。
