溶液内高速熱化学反応測定システムの開発

研究概要

本研究では、溶液内で進行する熱化学反応の中で、一次の速度定数が10^6s^<-1>(半減期約0.5μs)までの高速反応の反応速度測定が可能な高速サンプリング機構の構築を目標に、国内で初めて変速フロー装置を開発し、試料溶液の流速を制御しながら透過光強度を検出する独自の高速熱化学反応測定システムを構築した。
本年度は、昨年度までに開発した高速熱化学反応測定システムを用いて、アセトニトリル溶液内で進行するCu(II)またはZn(II)イオンの高速錯形成反応の反応速度測定を系統的に遂行した。これらの金属(II)イオンは極めて置換活性であり、その化学的重要性にも関わらず、錯形成反応の反応速度を直接測定することが困難であったが、本研究で開発した高速熱化学反応測定システムを用いることにより、これらの金属(II)イオンの直接的な反応速度測定に世界で初めて成功し、反応機構を確定するための速度論的データを得ることができるようになった。Cu(II)イオンについては、種々のポルフィリンとの錯形成反応速度の測定から、ポルフィリンへの金属イオン挿入反応過程に反応中間体として存在するSAT錯体の生成メカニズムに関する知見を得た。Jahn-Teller効果によって歪んだ八面体型構造をとるCu(II)イオンについての錯形成反応機構の解明は、その置換活性な性質を分子論的に解明する上で極めて重要な情報である。また、同じく置換活性なZn(II)イオンへの種々の芳香族アミン配位子の錯形成反応速度の測定にも成功し、特に、多座配位子の反応において従来知られていなかった新たな反応経路を検出することに成功した。
