超対称複合模型と宇宙初期状態

研究概要

超対称性に基づく素粒子の模型は、素粒子の統一理論の有力な候補である。本研究計画では、超対称標準理論のヒッグス場をフェルミ粒子対の複合場だと考えたとき、宇宙初期におけるインフレーションシナリオ等がどのような影響を受けるかを調べる。
宇宙初期状態(有限曲率時空、有限温度、有限密度)における超対称複合場理論の相構造の研究は、研究協力者の協力を得ながら進めた。その結果、カイラル対称性が動的に破れることを確かめ、有限温度及び有限曲率の下で、この対称性の破れは一次の相転移として起こりうることを見いだした。この研究結果をもとにして、インフレーション期の相転移によるストリング生成の可能性について研究した(牟田、山本)。また、有限温度での量子電気力学の相構造を、Schwinger-Dyson方程式の数値解を用いて詳細に調べた(牟田、稲垣)。
他方、多次元時空の効果がTeV領域で実験的に検証できる可能性を調べるために、多次元フェルミオンが4次元フェルミオンにどのような影響を与えるかについて、モデルを用いて具体的に調べ、宇宙初期への応用の可能性について検討した。
