600m/s超高速・ナノメータオーダ超精密加工機械の開発に関する研究

研究概要	本研究では、600m/sに及ぶ超高速で、超精密デバイス用金属材料をナノメータオーダの精度で、かつ可能な限り加工変質層を生成させずに加工するための装置、および加工技術の開発を目的とする.もちろん,各種鉄鋼材料の600m/sに及ぶ超高速研削も目的とする。平成11年度は〔I〕砥石表面評価システムのセットアップ〔II〕風損や熱・遠心力による膨張の予測と実測、砥石・ワーク軸のバランシング〔III〕アルミ合金による超高速研削実験と加工表面・加工変質層の評価を行った。以下、研究成果を記述する。〔I〕では、非接触式の変位計を用い、砥石の表面形状を計測するシステムのセットアップを行った。〔II〕では、高速回転による砥石とワーク軸の風損によるエネルギーロス、熱膨張や遠心力による砥石とワークの膨張を理論解析により予測し、〔I〕のシステムを用い、それらの実測を行い、理論解析による予測がほぼ妥当なことを明らかにした。さらに、超高速研削において解消せねばならない、砥石・ワーク軸のぶれの解消を図り、超高速研削を行う準備を整えた。〔III〕ダイヤモンド砥石、Al-Mg合金ワークピースの双方とも高速回転させ、Al-Mg合金の1)塑性波伝播速度未満、2)塑性波伝播速度、3)塑性波伝播速度以上、の3種類の研削速度(相対速度)で超高速研削を行いその違いを評価した。研削表面性状と加工変質層の深さを評価し、1),2),3)で材料除去メカニズムに大きな違いが生じることを明らかにした。それらの成果の一部は国内諸学会および国際会議(Int.Conf.ICPE-9,Osaka)等で報告された。
