生命倫理に関する討論と生命倫理教育における生物学者の役割

研究概要

1)生命倫理教育に関する議論を、高校教師ネットワークで継続的に行っており、現段階で2冊の本を出版した。
2)バイオテクノロジーに関するアンケート調査の分析結果を発表しており、これには、日本の高校生、科学者や一般大衆に対して行われたオープンコメント形式のアンケートの分析結果も含まれ る。人々の理由付けを理解するために、オープンコメントの分析を続行する。これには、科学者が社会でどのような役割をになっていると感じているかの理解も含まれる。
3)日本や海外の人とのインタビューを通じて、生物学者が生命倫理においてどのような役割をになっていると感じているかを論議する。この問題に関心を寄せる、研究者との国際的ネットワーク が広がりつつある。
4)2000年10月27-29日に開催された第6回つくば国際円卓会議(TRT6)は、生命倫理、健康と環境について開かれた一連の会議(東京と福井でそれぞれ引き継がれた)の出発点で あった。TRT6には日本人研究者が60名、海外研究者が46名参加した(全体で17カ国からの参加であった)。
