ユーラシア大陸東部におけるムギ類の遺伝資源とそれらの栽培と利用に関する研究

研究概要	2001年5月から6月にかけて、冨永と丹羽がパキスタンイスラム共和国のシンド州、バロチスタン州および北西辺境州で同国の農業研究センター植物遺伝資源研究所と共同で、ムギ類在来品種の栽培、利用および雑草についての総合的な聞き取り調査等を実施し、資料を採集。普通系コムギの穂を81枚の畑で、種子を8カ所で採集。コムギに近縁なAegilops cylindricaを3カ所、Ae. squarrosaを9カ所で、Ae. triuncialisを2カ所で採集。なお、この国でのAe. triuncialisの採集記録は初めてである。オオムギの穂を31枚の畑で、種子を3カ所で、ライムギを1カ所で、ライコムギを4カ所で採集。その他にカラスムギを初めとするムギ類近縁植物も採集。採集した試料はすべて植物遺伝資源研究所と折半し、正式許可を得て、輸入した。 2001年9月から10月にかけて、大田と落合はインド共和国タミールナドゥ州、西ベンガル州北部およびシッキム州でムギ類と雑穀類の栽培と利用について聞き取りを中心に民族植物学的調査を行った。タミールナドゥ州北部のニルギリ丘陵では原始的な皮性二粒系コムギと裸性六条オオムギが少数民族バダガにより遺存的に栽培され、伝統的に利用されていた。西ベンガル州北部およびシッキム州では自生のジュズダマ属植物を発見、多様な利用形態を聞き取った。なお、ニルギリ丘陵における調査はインド農業研究局とタミールナドゥ大学の研究者の協力を得て実施し、採集したサンプルはインド農務省で登録中である。
