研究概要

プロスタノイドはプロスタグランジンとトロンボキサンより成る生理活性物質であり、生体内において非常に多彩な作用を示す。しかし、プロスタノイドの生理的・病態生理的役割に関しては不明な点が多く残されている。そこで、本研究は既に作出された8種類のプロスタノイド受容体欠損マウスを用いて、プロスタノイドの持つ生理的・病態生理的役割を解明することを目的とした。このため、国内外において、マウスの解析が実施可能であり、実績のある研究者との共同研究を行った。その結果、プロスタノイドの受精調節、アレルギー性喘息、血小板機能調節、骨代謝における役割などが解明された。また、血圧調節、心肥大、心虚血障害、肺高血圧、リンパ球の分化などにおける、プロスタノイドの役割が解明されつつある。
