研究概要

韻律の基礎から応用までを統合して発展させることを目的とした特定領域研究(B)「韻律と音声処理」の総括班として、研究領域の統括、計画研究班間の調整、民間および他の研究との連携、全体会議・研究成果発表会の開催、シンポジウムの企画・開催、国際会議等での関連研究の調査・成果の公表、研究成果の公開推進等を行う。これによって領域全体の研究の実を挙げることを目的とする。本年度は領域スタートの年であり環境整備を中心に以下の成果を達成した。
1.第1回全体会議/総括班会議を12月に開催し、研究の進め方を討議してその方針を策定した。
2.1月に第2回全体会議を開催して領域の各計画研究班の研究成果を発表・討議するとともに、総括班会議で次年度の研究計画を策定した。なお、全体会議は公開の成果報告会とし、研究成果を広く関係の研究者に周知した。
3.本年度研究成果報告書を約160ページの冊子として出版し、第2回全体会議において参加者に配布するとともに、関係研究機関に送付した。
4.10月に開催された音声言語処理に関する国際会議に代表者、分担者が参加し、研究調査と研究発表を行い、海外研究者による領域のサーベイを受けた。
5.ホームページとメーリングリストを作成し、班間での緊密な連絡を可能とした。ホームページには、成果物としてのデータベース、ソフトウエアを格納できるようにした。
6.韻律コーパスが重要であるとの認識のもとに、コーパス班をはじめ、多様性班、合成班、認識班をはじめ領域全体の意見を集約し、韻律バランス文の選定を開始した。
7.次年度に開催するシンポジウムに向けて、海外からの招待者のリストアップを行った。
他プロジェクトとの韻律データベース、韻律合成モデルを中心とした連携について討議を行った。
