研究概要	先端脳発足後2年を経過し、多くの班にて大きな進歩があったと思う。今年度の特徴は、各班員の研究業績がまんべんなく出ている上に、以下に述べるようなインパクトの高い研究が発表されたことだろう。 A01では、ガイダンス分子のひとつであるCRMP-2の機能の一端が明らかにされた。貝淵弘三は、CRMP-2が未成熟な突起の軸索への分化誘導に必要かつ十分であることを発見した。AO3では、井原康夫が、APP(amyloid precursor portein)のγ位における切断の他に、膜貫通ドメインの細胞質境界側にε切断される部位を同定した。APPの代謝過程解明の上で重要な所見であると思われる。A04の高橋良輔は、本邦で同定されたパーキンソニズム関連遺伝子のParkinの機能を明らかにした。Parkinが存在しないと、ubiquitin化されていないPael受容体が粗面小胞体に蓄積し細胞が死滅することを見つけた。AR-JP(autosomal resessive juvenile parkinsonism)の黒質細胞死の経路を明らかにしたことで大きな注目を集めている。A04の辻省次は、Friedreich失調症類似の臨床表現型を示す疾患群のなかで、低アルブミン血症を伴う一群(Early onset ataxia associated with hypoalbuminemia : EOAHA)の疾患遺伝子を同定した。B02の丹治順は、動作を決定することに必要な空間的ターゲットと、用いるべき体部位の情報という,2種類の要素的情報が運動前野で統合され、動作の企画段階において用意されている事を明らかにした。また同じ班の小野武年は、視床レベルのニューロン応答が、現在の情報だけでなく、動物の生存に不可欠な過去の経験に基づく未来への予測の情報を反映していると明らかにした。
