研究概要	本研究では、各種の感覚情報を処理して随意運動の発現に至るまでの回路機構(感覚運動機能連関)を解明することを目的として、ヒトを対象とした非侵襲的な手法(機能的磁気共鳴画像法、コヒーレンス解析、経皮的磁気刺激)を統合的に用いた検討を行い、以下の成果が得られた。陰性運動の皮質内機構われわれは、これまでに、機能的磁気共鳴画像法、脳磁図などの手法を用いて、随意的筋弛緩課題の脳内機構を研究してきた。さらに、慢性硬膜下電極を利用した皮質電気刺激の手法によって、一次体性感覚野を刺激することで、人為的に運動抑制を引き起こすことが可能であることを発見した。これは感覚野と運動野の間の機能連関が陰性運動の発生に関与していることを示唆するものである。痛覚情報の皮質内での処理過程脳磁図によって、一次体性感覚野が痛覚認知に関与していることを明らかにした。機能的磁気共鳴画像法でも、同様のパラダイムで実験をおこなった。その事象関連解析によって、帯状回と二次体性感覚野の活動が、痛みの予期によってトップダウン的に調節されていることを発見した。随意運動統御における補足運動野の機能的意義大脳皮質の律動性活動の変化をみる手法で、補足運動野が一次運動野に先行して随意運動の準備に関与することを発見した。また、皮質脳波記録のコヒーレンス解析によって、補足運動野の活動が筋放電の統御に直接関わっていることを解明した。不随意運動患者での感覚運動関連の異常感覚運動連関課題を用いて、不随意運動患者(ジストニー、SSPEなど)で、その機能連関の異常が認められることを発見した。
