研究概要	(1)二重立体反転を伴う立体特異的鎖状有機分子構築法の開発(研究代表者) エポキシスルフィドと有機アルミニウムとの置換反応を詳細に検討し、エピスルホニウムイオンを経由し二重立体反転を伴って進行する新しい立体特異的アルキル化及びアルキニル化反応を開発した。本法は、従来の立体反転を伴って進行するエポキシドの求核置換反応とは全く異なり、二重立体反転を伴った生成物を高立体選択的に与えることから、有機合成に極めて有力な手法を提供する。これらの成果をアメリカ化学会(J. Org. Chem.)に発表した。 (2)エポキシアルコールのC-2位選択的アルキル化およびアルキニル化反応の開発(分担者) 2,3-エポキシアルコールのC-2位選択的炭素-炭素結合形成反応は合成的に非常に有用であるにもかかわらず、これまで有機銅試薬によるアルキル化反応を除いて全く知られていない。今回、独自にアート型アルミニウム反応剤を用いる方法論を考案し、エポキシアルコールのC-2位選択的かつ立体特異的アルキル化およびアルキニル化反応を開発した。これらの成果をアメリカ化学会(Org. Lett.)に発表した。 (3)海洋産天然物サイトファイシンCの不斉全合成研究(研究代表者) 強力な抗癌活性を有する海産天然物サイトファイシンCの高立体選択的全合成を達成した。 (4)シスおよびトランスエポキシドの立体特異的相互変換(分担者) これまで困難とされていた「シスおよびトランスエポキシドの立体特異的相互変換」をエポキシスルフィドを用い、二重立体反転を伴うハロゲン置換反応を設計することにより、世界に先駆けて達成した。これらの成果をドイツ化学会誌(Angew. Chem. Int. Ed. Engl.)に発表した。
