研究概要

本年度の研究方針は、第2段階に入り、化学プロセスを扱うシステムの各要素の現象論的ダイナミックスのデータおよびモデルの集積を行いながら、「設計法に導入するためにはどのようなデータベース化を目指すか、どのようなシミュレーションヘとまとめて行くか」について総合的研究を推進することである。
第2年度は、次のA〜G班の研究グループで研究分担して、以下の研究を推進し、成果を挙げた。
A:複雑系化学プロセスとして特に乳化重合の連続あるいは動的操作を取り上げ、非線形性(履歴性・多重性)を考慮したダイナミックスのデータ集積を重視して、定常操作であっても素過程や反応物の物性が不安定になったり、自励振動することを確認し、そのメカニズムをほぼ明らかにできた。化学装置(システム)の基礎特性である混合特性に関して、撹拌反応装置、テイラー・クェット流系反応装置の混合現象の非線形ダイナミックスと高粘性流体のカオス混合ダイナミックスのデータの集積をし、履歴性を考慮した動的操作の必要性とその方法を見出した。
B:ニューラルネットワークの導入により、複雑系化学プロセスとして重合(発熱反応)や分離プロセスのモデリングを行い、シミュレーション及び制御器の設計法などの成果を出した。'
C:気泡塔や流動層等の混相流の動的データを集積し、バーチャルリアクターの設計概念を入れた非線形モデリングの研究をして、新しい反応装置の動的設計やスケールアップの手法を創出し、動的熱伝達などのニューラルネットワーク予測法を構築した。
D:円盤の往復運動などによる振動流れ系の流体混合ダイナミックスの解析を行い、バーチャル混合場の動的設計法を考案し、試行した。またカオス混合の実現を目指した研究をして、ニューラルネットワークによる組み合わせ最適法を粒子移動の解析手法に導入して混合の動的メカニズムを明らかにした。
E:化学蓄熱プロセスにおける気固系触媒反応の高効率化のための動的操作・制御法の研究としてアルミナ触媒によるメタノールの分解反応を行い、その選択性の評価法およびプレートフィン型反応装置の熱効率解析法を考案し、非平衡操作の有効性の検証を行った。
F:反応、蒸留(特に内部熱交換式蒸留システムによる)、膜分離(ポリイミド系中空繊維による)、生体(人工肝臓など)などのプロセスの設計・操作に非線形ダイナミックスを導入する手法の研究をして、それぞれのプロセスの動的特性として、多重安定性や振動現象が出現する条件を明らかにした。複雑系化学プロセス(BZ反応など)の化学振動発生機構や軽質オレフィン合成の周期操作法に関する研究も行った。
G:混相流反応装置設計に必要な、気泡群のダイナミックスのデータ収集とモデル化によるデータベース化の研究をして、気相分散型反応装置の動的操作によるガス溶解促進・制御、気液反応促進の実効性を見出した。
