中性子散乱に依るCaドープされたYBCOのスピンストライプ探索の研究

研究概要	Caドーピングの単結晶育成の準備を行ったこと、及び今回の研究プロポーザルに至った所謂、、高温超伝導と電荷ストライプ形成の関連を進める高温超伝導発現機構解明研究の推進に前進が有ったことが今期の最大の収穫である。大型のCaドープYBCO超伝導単結晶には未だ誰も成功していないので、既にYBCO単結晶育成に経験の深い国際超電導研究所でその育成準備を行って来た。同時に東北大学に置いてCaドープYBCO超伝導単結晶バルク測定の準備の為してに、特にホール係数の精密測定装置設計、組み立てを終了して、ほとんど測定を開始出来るところ迄整備されて来た。ストライプ形成と超伝導性との関連を明らかにする為に、ホールドーピング量を制御した単結晶YBCOとLSCOを育成し、それらを用いて中性子散乱とバルク測定とを組み合わせた実験を行っている。 90K級のYBCOでは40meVを超える高いエネルギーのフォノンに異常、特にゾーン境界に近づくにつれてエネルギーシフト増加し、エネルギー幅が増えることが解ったが、未だ詳しい温度変化が撮れていない。尚磁気散乱にもストライプの存在を示唆するデータが撮れた。特にドーピング量が少ない超伝導LSCOで、電荷ストライプに起因すると思われるスピンストライプがドープ量が非常に薄い反強磁性絶縁体領域から存在することが確認され、しかもストライプの間隔がドーピング量が増えると連続的に短くなる変化が明らかにされた。少なくとも薄いドーピング量の領域でのストライプ形成に関する実験データの集積は進んでいる。
