ポルフィリンを用いた分子磁石および光エネルギー変換機能の発現

研究概要

1.光合成におけるもっとも基本的かつ重要な過程、すなわち電子移動を制御している因子を解明することを目的として種々のモデル系を設定し、それらの合成、キャラクタリゼーションに成功した。さらに、金表面上に作成したモデルの薄膜(単分子膜)が光電変換機能を持つことを明らかにした。
2.マンガンポルフィリンと種々のアクセプター分子(TCNQ,TCNEなど)から形成される電荷移動型錯体を系統的に合成することに成功し、それらの構造(ポルフィリン置換基の立体的効果など)、電子状態(ポルフィリン中心金属の変更、アクセプター分子のパイ電子系の拡張など)が及ぼす磁性への影響を検討した。その結果、電荷移動型錯体を用いる分子磁性体設計において大きな指針を得ることができた。
3.ゲスト部位を同一分子内に有する完全メチル化シクロデキストリン(CD)の自己集合過程において、特にα-CD-アゾベンゼン連結系を用い、差し違い型2量体、環状4量体の構造を明らかにした。これは、溶液中におけるCD誘導体の自己組織化構造を明らかにした初めての例である。これらの知見は、疎水場における分子(ゲスト)の特質を明らかにする上で非常に有益であり、今後、CD内疎水場を利用した光誘起電子移動を構築する上で大きな指針となりうる。
