モンゴル草原植生の成立に及ぼす気候と遊牧活動の影響

研究概要

海外調査(8月7日-8月17日)を実施した。調査には日本から広瀬・大学院生1名、モンゴル側はアカデミー植物学研究所から3名、畜産研究所から1名、モンゴル国立大学から1名が参加。ほかに現地調査・試料処理補助要員としてモンゴルから学生3名が参加した。トゥメンツォフトに設置した調査地において植生調査を行った。生産構造解析のために刈り取った植物は種に分け、それぞれの種について地表から層別に葉・茎・繁殖器官に分けて葉面積を測定し、乾燥重量を測定した。種組成解析のために刈り取った植物は種ごとに乾燥重量を測定した。気象・遊牧活動に関する資料収集・現地調査にあわせて、それぞれの調査地の遊牧民から聞き取り調査を行い、遊牧活動に関する情報を得た。畜産研究所・アカデミー等所蔵の文献から、遊牧の歴史・気候変化のデータを収集した。7月8日-7月18日、ロンドンで開催の会議に出席、あわせてイギリスとオランダ牧草地の視察、現地研究者との研究連絡を行った。10月17日-10月27日、広瀬(10月24日-10月27日の期間のみ)と大学院生1名は、ウランバートルで資料の収集ならびに渡航中開催されたモンゴル科学アカデミー主催のシンポジウムに参加し、モンゴル側研究者と研究連絡を行った。
