特異多様体の特性類とモチーフおよびその周辺に関する研究

研究概要

平成12年度の研究成果の一つは、次の結果である。「Yが非特異多様体のとき、写像f : X->Yに対するbivariant Chern classはuniqueに決定される。同様にして、Fulton-MacPhersonの本で構成されたbivariant Riemann-Rochについても、Yが非特異多様体のとき、写像f : X->Yに対するbivariant Riernann-Rochはuniqueに決定される。」より具体的には、bivariant constructible function αに対してbivariant Chern classγ(α)はf^*s(TY)〓c^*(α)と表わせる。ここに、s(TY)はYの接束のSegreコホモロジー類である。
平成13年度の主たる研究は、上の逆の問題を考察した。すなわち、この特性類f^*s(TY)〓c^*(α)(Ginzburg-Chern類と呼ぶことにする)を同変Chern類の理論として捕らえられるかどうかを考察した。得られた成果は以下の通りである。
(1)非特異多様体のスムース写像のカテゴリーではGinzburg-chern類を同変Chern類の理論として捕らえられることができることを示した。
(2)特異多様体から非特異多様体への写像のカテゴリーでは、構成可能関数の同変理論を拡張することにより、Ginzburg-Chern類を同変Chern類の理論として捕らえられることができることを示した。
(3)(1)、(2)の成果を踏まえて、現在、特異多様体から特異多様体への写像のカテゴリーについて、Ginzburg-Chern類を用いて、同変Chern類の理論の構成について研究中である。特異点解消定理を用いて、特異多様体から非特異多様体への写像達の構成可能関数関手の帰納的極限を構成できる。この帰納的極限の概念を応用して上記の同変Chern類の理論が構成出来そうである。
もう一つのテーマである「モチーフ」との関連については、Grothendieckが本来考察していた「Chern類のRiemann-Roch」(それの変形された理論が所謂「Chern-Schwartz-MacPherson類の理論」である)を充分に研究する必要がある。これは今後も研究課題として取り組む。
