変分問題に関連する発展方程式の研究

研究概要

本件の研究目的のうち、今年度は特に、勾配流の構成、及び、極小曲面の問題に対応する双曲型方程式、の2点についてめざましい進展があった。前者に関する成果としては準凸な汎函数がある種の下からの評価式を満たす場合に勾配流が構成できることがわかった。この成果はイタリア国カターニア市で開催された国際研究集会The third world congress of nonlinear analystsにおいて発表した。今後この結果をさらに発展させて、非線形弾性体の変形問題またはこれに関連する変分問題(多重凸な正則汎函数など)に対する勾配流の構成へと理論を発展させたいと考えている。後者に関する成果としては膜の振動方程式(2階準線形双曲型方程式)の近似解を離散的勾配流の方法で求めその極限がエネルギー保存則を満たせば弱解になるという定理を幾何学的測度論(ヴァリフォルド理論)を用いて証明した。これは従来知られていた結果を改良したものであるが、さらにDirichlet境界条件に関して従来全く考察されていなかった部分に関しても満足できる結果を得た。本件の他の研究目的に関連して、分担者清水には早稲田大学の柴田良弘教授、分担者根来には金沢大学土谷正明教授と研究連絡を行ってもらい一定の成果を得ている。また分担者星賀には調和写像の双曲型化である波動写像に造詣の深いVladimir Georgiev教授とイタリア国ラクイラ大学において研究連絡を行ってもらった。そして、星賀-久保、久保-太田、の分担者間の共同研究の他、分担者久保と上記のGeorgiev教授、ローマ大学のD'Ancona教授との共同研究による成果も上がっており、分担者間の連携も非常にうまく行ったといえる。
