研究概要

モンキーを用いて次のような新しい骨髄移植(BMT)の方法を開発した。
1)"Perfusion Method"
この方法は腸骨よりAspirationによって骨髄細胞(BMCs)を採取する従来の方法に比較して末梢血の混入が少ないため(T細胞は5%以下)、T細胞を除去しなくてもGVH反応が起らない(Stem Cells 18:453-456,2000)。
さらに、この方法では、骨髄の中のMesenchymal stem cells(MSCs)が効率良く採取可能であるため、donorの造血の生着を促進することが明らかになった(Manuscript in preparation)。
2)Intra-Bone Marrow(IBM)Injection of Bone Marrow Cells("IBM-BMT")
1)の方法で採取したBMCsを直接骨髄内に注入する方法("IBM-BMT")は、造血の回復が速やかで、放射線量を減量しても生着不全(拒絶反応)が起らず、理想的な方法と考える(Blood in press and submitted to Transplantation)。
