研究概要

活動実績は以下のとおり.
1.総括班会議,計画研究代表者会議を召集し,各計画研究の進捗度を評価し,必要な助言を与え,対策を講じた.総括班会議は2回,計画研究代表者会議は2回開催した.総括班会議では領域の全体計画を,代表者会議では各計画間にまたがる技術的な細部を議論した.
2.成果の実証のために各計画研究で共通医療データの解析の進捗状況を評価・助言し,必要な対策を講じることを目的に,班会議,複数研究グループ間の会議,共同作業を計13回実施した.
3.人工知能学会,情報処理学会,電子情報通信学会の関連する研究会との合同研究会を2回開催(平14年5月,15年3月)開催し,アクティブマイニングの特集を企画し,本特定領域の全計画研究から成果を発表した.また,第16回人工知能学会全国大会でのAIレクチャと研究会特別セッションにアクティブマイニングの成果を発表した.
4.人工知能学会誌(Vol.17,No.5)ならびに同論文誌(Vol.17)に本特定領域研究の概要と医療データ解析に関する解説記事,ならびに最新の成果ををまとめたアクティブマイニングの特集号を刊行した.
5.IOS Pressから英文の編集本,H.Motoda(ed.),"Active Mining-New Directions of Data Mining-",Frontiers in Artificial Intelligence and Applications, IOS Press(2002)を出版した.
6.平成14年8月18日にアクティブマイニングを主要課題とする知識獲得ワークショップを,平成14年12月9日に第一回アクティブマイニング国際ワークショップを開催し,本特定領域から成果を発表し.両ワークショップにおいて,著名な海外研究者を招聘し,本特定領域研究の外部評価を受けた.
7.年度末に本年度の成果を発表する公開シンポジウムを開催し,成果報告書を印刷した.
