代数学における保型形式的構造とゼータ関数の明示的研究

研究概要

2004年2月16日から20日にかけて、浜名湖畔の研修施設カリアックにて、第3回保型形式周辺分野スプリングコンファレンスを開催した。外国人研究者18名、日本人研究者59名が45の異なる研究組織より参加し、保型形式論、コード・デザイン理論、共形場の理論、2次形式論、不変式環などについて研究発表を行い、広く分野を越えた討論を行った。過去2回おこなったスプリングコンファレンスでの分野を越えた問題意識と技術の共有の土台の上に、今後の共同研究の発展につながる集会であったと考えられ、多数の参加者が高い満足度を表明した。なお、前回の研究集会の報告集を編纂し印刷した。2003年9月には分担者の佐藤文広が白馬にて、第6回オータムワークショップを開催し、これに際して当科研費でもS.Friedbergを招聘して、保型形式論の詳しい理論説明を受けた。個別的な進展としては、研究代表者は、整数ウェイトおよび半整数ウェイトの次数2のベクトル値ジーゲル保型形式の間だのL関数を保つような志村対応について、昨年度に離散群と空間を明確に指定した1対1対応の予想を与えていた。これは志村対応予想の拡張としては初めての主張であったが、これに関して、計算機により、かなり面倒な数値実験を大々的に行った。この結果、整数ウェイトと半整数ウェイトで2および3でのオイラー因子が一致するような実例を9組つくり、予想が全く疑い得ないものであることを確証した。さらに進んで証明を跡公式で行うべく、核関数の記述を行うなど、次のステップに着手した。その他、ベクトル値保型形式の構造定理、微分作用素の研究、3次対称テンソルL関数の持ち上げなどの研究を行った。
