研究概要	γ-シクロデキストリンまたはヘテロ原子を持つ超大環状化合物とフラーレン(C_<60>)とから合成できる安定なバイキャップ型及び土星型超分子錯体を合成・単離し、フラーレンには見られないユニークな物性・機能を解明することを目的として以下の研究を行った。 C_<60>とγ-シクロデキストリンとから合成できるバイキャップ型C_<60>錯体(1)の既報の合成法を若干改良することにより、比較的大きいスケールでの1の合成に成功した。さらに、得られた1を水素化ホウ素ナトリウムと反応させることで、対応するバイキャップ型C_<60>^<2->錯体(2)を高選択的に発生させる方法を見出した。この錯体2上の電子を他の化合物に移動させることができれば、種々の共有結合の還元反応が達成可能であると考えられる。この電子移動反応をC_<60>錯体を包接しているγ-シクロデキストリンの不斉環境に基づくプロキラルケトンのエナンチオ選択的な不斉還元反応に応用し、対応する光学活性アルコールを得ることに成功した。得られたアルコールの不斉収率は最高45%eeであった。この反応は、1を化学量論量用いてはいるが、今後の展開が大いに期待でき、興味深いものと考えている。一方、酸素、窒素や硫黄などのヘテロ原子を持つ超大環状化合物の合成にも成功した。これをC_<60>と反応させることで、対応する土星型超分子錯体が生成していることをスペクトル的に確認することができた。得られた超分子錯体の反応性及び物性・機能については今後の検討課題である。
