3次元知能メディアを用いた大規模データの可視化・実体化とデータシミュレータの研究

研究概要

本研究は、2次元及び3次元表現の知識メディアとその部品化・再利用のアーキテクチャ、それを基盤にしたデータベース・レコードの可視化と具現化(reification)のフレイムワーク、科学技術計算の可視化を発展させた仮想実験環境のフレイムワークに関する代表者のこれまでの研究成果を統合し、統計解析,時系列解析、統計的データマイニングを専門とする佐藤義治と、事例からの学習推論、仮説推論、テキストマイニングを専門とする原口誠の協力を得ることにより、データ・ベースト・サイエンスのための可視化・実体化とデータ・シミュレーションのシステム環境を研究し、研究者自身によって容易に環境の定義構築と設定が行えるジェネリックな開発フレイムワークを確立する目的として実施された。平成14年度は、以下の成果を得て、研究を纏め上げることができた。
(1)データベース可視化環境におけるビュー定義と検索要求の可視化・直節操作:前年度に完了。
(2)データのグループ化・クラスタリングと集合演算・統計解析の可視化・直接操作環境:佐藤と田中は、ライブラリの拡充を行った。データマイニングの分野で知られているクラスタリング手法を部品化して導入した。
(3)高次元データの可視化・直接操作:田中は、決定木構造による空間分割とグループ化を、前年度の研究成果に関連付けて、直接操作可能な可視的環境において実現した。
(4)非数値データ解析の可視化・直接操作:原口と佐藤は田中の協力の下に、前年度の検討に基づき、各部品を統合環境に導入可能な部品として開発した。
(5)データベース可視化環境、仮想実験環境、解析ツール群の統合:田中と赤石は、本プロジェクトで得られたあらゆる成果を、前年度に開発したデータベース可視化環境と仮想実験環境の統合環境に融合し、統合環境のジェネリックなフレイムワークを確立した。
