研究概要	本年度は次ぎの4項日についての研究を推進させた。 (1)相転移現象のモデリングとその解析、(2)関連の最適制御問題、(3)数値シミュレーション、(4)学校教育への還元。 (1)については、本研究計画の次年度(最終年度)に続く新課題の提案と共に、実質的な進展をみた。実際、かねてより可能性を模索していたヒステリシス作用素を利用した不可逆過程の表現に明るい見通しがついた。また、相転移の速度は温度に関係する場合が多く、これを変分問題として記述すると、変分を考える競争関数のクラスが未知関数に依存する形になる。つまり、仮似変分等式問題になるが、この数学的研究の重要性はすでに指摘されているにもかかわらず、これまで十分な研究の蓄積がない。来年度からの課題としたい。 (2)は、相転移現象の重要な要素のいくつかを制御変数として選び人間生活にとって理想的な現象を実現するにはどうすれば良いかを制御変数の枠組みで考えようとするものである。これに関しては、現象を支配する直接的な変数を制御するのではなく、先端技術・工学的立場からそれらを間接的に制御する方法を提案し、その理論の構築を行った。これも次年度に引き継がれる課題である。 (3)については、(1)-(2)の展開と同時に行った。数理モデルはいづれも極めて非線形性の高いもので、数値計算効率をあげるための工夫もし、シミュレーション結果も納得いくものが得られた。 (4)については、"本研究で得られた結果をいかに実社会に還元するか"と言う基本姿勢から課題として取り上げた。本研究のような社会貢献を目的とした基礎数理科学の発展には、本研究で得られた成果を分かりやすく初等・中等教育あるいは高等教育の教材として取り上げ実践を行うことが必要である。この観点から本年度は教材開発とその実践を行った。
