高圧下におけるFeO,NiOおよびCoO液体の部分モル体積測定

研究概要

珪酸塩メルトー金属鉄メルト間における親鉄元素の分配に対する圧力効果を明らかにするためには,メルト中の親鉄元素の部分モル体積を評価することが本質的である。圧力下における液体の部分モル体積は密度の組成変化から求めることが可能である。圧力下のメルトの密度測定法としてX線吸収法を適用することにより,珪酸塩メルト中のFeO等の部分モル体積を求めることが本研究の主題である。本年度はダイヤモンド試料カプセルの試作とその評価を行ってX線吸収法の実験装置をデザインした。また,測定試料の準備を行った。ダイヤモンド試料カプセルは人工の単結晶ダイヤモンドを用いて試作した。ダイヤモンドのリング一個と落とし蓋となるディスク二枚から構成されている。このカプセルは圧力下でも形状変形が小さく,X線吸収実験に最適であることを確認した。密度測定実験の出発試料には珪酸塩ガラスを用いる。雰囲気コントロールした高温炉で酸化物試薬を融解し急冷法でNa_2SiO_3にFeOをドープしたガラス試料を作成した。これらの試料を用いて次年度は大型放射光施設Spring-8を利用して高温高圧X線吸収実験を行い,実際に圧力下で珪酸塩メルトの密度測定実験を試みる予定である。
