研究概要	果実における水チャンネルの機能ブドウ果実において水チャンネルタンパク質の発現を調べ、液胞膜型と細胞膜型の両者の発現が果実生長を通して高いことを明らかにした。セイヨウナシから、液胞膜型水チャンネルcDNA1種(Py-γTIP)と細胞膜型水チャンネルcDNA3種(Py-PIP1-1,PIP2-1,PIP2-2)をクローニングし発現解析を行った。液胞膜型、細胞膜型いずれの遺伝子発現も、タンパク質の発現と一致していた。液胞膜型水チャンネルPy-γTIPの発現は幼果で高く、液胞形成に関与していることが示唆された。3種の細胞膜型水チャンネルはいずれも果実生長を通して発現が高かったが、特に細胞肥大の盛んな生長中期に高く、細胞肥大のための吸水に機能することが予想された。3種の細胞膜型水チャンネルの発現は若干異なっており、それぞれ発現制御機構も異なることが予想された。また、細胞膜型水チャンネルの水輸送活性が、タンパク質のリン酸化により調節されるため、そのリン酸化の有無を特異的に認識する抗体を作製している。現在、抗原となるリン酸化ペプチドの合成が完了し、免疫を開始したところである。ダイコンにおける水チャンネルの機能ダイコンの液胞膜型水チャンネル(VM23)と細胞膜型水チャンネル(PAQ1型,PAQ2型)発現における、細胞特異性、水ストレスおよび植物ホルモンへの応答性を明らかにした。液胞膜型はどちらかといえば、恒常的にどの組織でも一定レベル以上発現した。細胞膜型水チャンネルは、実生根の中心柱と内皮、生長塊根の篩部で発現が高く、PAQ2型のみ水ストレスと植物ホルモンへ応答した。以上のように水チャンネルが、構成的発現グループと、環境応答型グループに2分されることを見出した。
