廃棄物利用低品位石炭クリーン燃料化による発展途上国向け環境保全対策技術の開発

研究概要

1.窒素やリンなどの富栄養化原因物質を高効率で吸収する植物(ガマ、ヨシ、ホテイアオイ)をバイオマスとするバイオブリケットを実験的に製造し、これまでの稲藁や麦藁を用いて製造したバイオブリケットとその強度・硫黄固定率等を比較検討し、これらの副原料としての適正を調べた。その結果、ガマ、ヨシ、ホテイアオイを用いたバイオブリケットは副原料として十分使用できることを明らかにした。
2.農林業廃棄物ならびに水質改善用植物をバイオマスとするバイオブリケット燃焼灰の酸性土壌修復能力と栄養塩供給能力等を評価し、大気汚染対策・酸性土壌修復・水質汚染対策からなる地域循環型総合環境保全対策(ゼロエミッションサイクル)としての可能性を調査し、その適応性を評価した。
3.バイオブリケット燃焼灰添加ならびにそれを添加していない酸性土壌を用いたモデル植物のポット栽培による二十日大根の成長試験を行い、葉や茎の成長、乾重量等を比較し、バイオブリケット燃焼灰を加えた方の成長が促進されることを明らかにした。
4.酸性雨被害の発生している地域において、低品位石炭を利用している家庭でバイオブリケットを利用した場合、硫黄酸化物を50-80%程度排出抑制でき、また燃料のエネルギー効率とバイオマス利用を考慮した場合、温暖化ガスを20%程度排出抑制できると推定された。
