研究概要	1.さまざまな2階の非線型楕円型偏微分方程式および変分問題の解の構造の研究を行った.倉田は非有界領域上での典型的な非線型楕円型境界値問題の可解性と領域の幾何学的性質と可解性との関連についての研究を行い,神保はGinzburg-Landau方程式のVortexをもつ解の構成や凸領域上での永久電流の非存在性を研究した.田中は非線形Schrodinger方程式や相転移を記述するAllen-Cahn方程式で空間非斉次な項の影響でのスパイク的な形状や遷移層を持った複雑な解の様子を研究した. 2.逆問題に関し,倉田は非線形楕円型境界値問題における最適化問題を考えその最適解の対称性の破れ現象の研究を行い,望月はSturm-Liouville作用素やDirac作用素に対するスペクトル逆問題の研究を行った. 3.酒井は移動境界問題の典型的なものとしてHele-Shaw流れの境界の形状を調べた.初期領域の境界上に角がある場合,角の内角が直角より小さいと一定の時間角が同じ内角のままで領域の境界上に存在し続けるが,角の内角が直角より大きいと瞬時に角が消滅することを示した. 4.村田實は近年著しく進展した放物型方程式の基本解の評価や楕円型方程式に対する摂動論の研究成果を整備して、歪積型の楕円型方程式の正値解の構造を明らかにし歪積型方程式のMartin境界とMartin核の分解理論を完成させた。 5.非線形波動方程式の研究においては,肥田野は非線形散乱理論の立場から,共形保存則を用いた初期値の大きさに仮定をおかない大域散乱の研究を行った.
