劣微分項を含む偏微分方程式に対する粘性解の研究

研究概要

3年計画の研究の第2年度として、本年度は1 障害物問題を典型例として,様々の偏微分方程式を劣微分項を用いて定式化し,粘性解の方法が適用できるように理論を整備する、2 劣微分項を含む方程式に対する粘性解の概念を用いた定式化と,これまでに知られている他の手法とについて比較検討し,粘性解理論の優位な点を発見,展開する、3 様々な非線形偏微分方程式の可解性と粘性解の手法との比較検討を行う。
の3点に重点をおいて研究を遂行した。
各分担者はそれぞれの担当分野で大きな成果を収めた。すなわち、草野は常微分方程式の解の漸近的挙動について詳しい研究を行い、解の振動性を判別する条件を見いだした。これらの結果は、偏微分方程式にも応用できることが確かめられた。田中・黒木場は合金の組成変化を記述する方程式や、半導体の電荷状態を記述する偏微分方程式系に対して解の存在を証明した。丸尾は、退化する楕円型方程式に対して球対称な粘性解を構成した。石井は、平均曲率に従って運動する曲面の近似曲面を、粘性解を用いて構成し、その収束性を証明した。いずれの研究もそれ自体興味ある結果であるだけでなく、解の定義や近似解の評価の方法などにおいて本研究と密接に関連する研究である。
これらの研究と緊密に討論・情報交換を行いながら、劣微分項を持つ偏微分方程式に対して研究を進め、次のような結果が得られた。変分不等式を例とする、劣微分項を持つ非線形2階退化型楕円型偏微分方程式についての粘性解を新たに定義し、その一意存在等を証明した。従来、変分不等式は制限条件付きの変分問題、劣微分作用素の理論等の関数解析的方法で研究されてきたが、今回の研究では、一般の非線形2階楕円型偏微分方程式に対する粘性解の概念を劣微分の定義と組み合わせることで拡張し、解の一意存在、安定性を証明した。また、劣微分項に対する吉田近似を考え、その収束性を証明した。さらに、劣微分作用素に対する粘性解の定義が、半連続関数の概念で、直接的に表現できることが発見され、さらに詳しい性質についての研究を進めている。
