パルスEPR法による光合成電子伝達鎖の3次元配置の研究

研究概要	光化学系IIの電子伝達体の位置を決める方法として3スピン系PELDOR(パルス電子電子二重共鳴)法を提案し、未知の距離Q_A-Y_Z間の距離34Åを既知のY_D-Q_A 39ÅとY_D-Y_Z間の距離30Åを使用した3スピン系(Q_A-Y_Z-Y_D)のPELDORより導いた。この結果は昨年Clamydomonas reinhardtiiのY_Dを欠損する変異体において決定したQ_A-Y_Zの距離^<1)>とよく一致した。さらにQ_A-Y_Z-Chlz系にも応用し、未知のQ_A-Chlz間距離を34Åと導いた。この報告は2002年6月に出版したアジア太平洋EPR/ESRシンポジウム(APES'01)のProceeding^<2)>および現在印刷中のApplied Magn Reson^<3)>に出ている。なおPSIの受容体キノンと反応中心P700については協力研究者S.A. Dzubaはスピン偏極したラジカル対のスピン緩和の研究を目的とする新しい観測法を試みた。これは文献^<4)>に出版された。またもう一人の協力者R. Bittl氏とはPSIIの反応中心P680の3重項状態の時間分解CWEPR法とパルスEPR法で^3Chlの3重項のスペクトル実験と解析を現在行っている。水分解系MnのS_0,S_2,S_<-2>状態のスピン中心とY_Dの距離が大きく酸化状態で移動することはAPES'01のProceeding^<5)>に報告済みであるが、現在X-線解析のデータを使用して4個それぞれのMn上のスピンProjectionを使用して精密解析を試みている。その他学内のX-線グループと共同でCuアミンOxydaseの構造について報告したが、CuのEPR結果が含まれている。
