研究概要

1.シナプス可塑性(STDP)の情報表現における役割
前-後シナプス細胞の発火タイミングによってLTPやLTDを起こすSTDPの、情報表現における役割を明らかにするために、神経回路網モデルにSTDPを導入し、その挙動を解析した。入力は、ポワソン過程のスパイク系列から一定時間幅の時空間パターンを構成し、それを繰り返し入力した。その結果、多くの場合に非同期発火から同期発火を起こす変化が観察された。一旦同期発火が学習されると、他の時空間パターンの入力に対しては、同期発火はほとんど起こらない。これは、入力された特定の時空間パターンに対して、同期発火を起こすシナプス荷重の変化がSTDPによって行なわれたことを意味する。また、別の計算機実験によってスパイク系列の発生間隔に重要な情報が存在することを示唆する結果が得られた。以上より、時空間パターンから同期発火という情報表現への変換が、STDPによって獲得できると考えられる。
2.ドーパミン系修飾物質の情報表現における役割
ドーパミンの修飾物質系的な抑制効果と、介在細胞的な抑制効果との差を明らかにするために、PFCネットワークモデルに次の2つのモデルのどちらか一方を追加した2種類のPFC-VTA系モデルを構成し、違いを調べた:(1)PFCから入力を受けてPFCのIPSPを強めるDA細胞モデル;(2)PFCから入力を受けてPFCを脱分極させる大域的抑制細胞モデル。一方、平均発火率の空間パターンとシナプス荷重の構造との相関係数が高いことが知られている。ところが、(2)のモデルの場合にはこの相関係数が下がり、(1)の場合には下がらなかった。この結果は、もし平均発火率によって内部情報の想起をしているならば、(2)の直接的脱分極ではなく、(1)の修飾的な抑制による方法の方が、少ないスパイク数で情報を正しく効率的に想起できることを意味する。
