多機能性金属ポルフィリン組織体の構築と界面を利用した光誘起電子移動反応

研究概要	本研究は高機能性を有する分子配列された多機能性金属ポルフィリン組織体を合成し、光励起分子内電子移動過程を明らかにするとともに、本系を利用した光水素発生システムの構築を目指すものである。従来より均一系による光水素発生反応では電子供与体-光増感剤-電子伝達体-触媒よりなる4成分系がよく用いられている。本反応では光励起された光増感剤と電子伝達体との間の電荷分離過程が反応速度を支配する重要なステップである。そこで光増感剤と電子伝達体とを結合し、光励起分子内電子移動が容易に進行する光増感剤組織体を合成すれば、光増感作用と電子伝達作用との複合的機能を持つことが期待され、より効率の良い光水素発生系の構築が可能である。また、ミセル等の界面を利用すれば、静電反発による電荷分離効率の向上が期待される。昨年度は均一系4成分系による光水素発生を行い、各成分化合物の合成を行った。特に、ポルフィリン、フタロシアニンを中心とした光増感剤の開発を行い、光化学的性質を調べるとともに、反応機構の解明を行った。この結果に基づき、電子伝達体結合型光増感剤の設計・合成を行った。その中、ビオローゲン結合型ポルフィリンおよびビオローゲン結合型ルテニウム錯体では分子内に結合している光増感剤とビオローゲンとの間で光励起分子内電子移動が起こり、効率の良い電荷分離および光水素発生反応が進行することがわかった。さらに、効率の良い光水素発生を行うには電荷分離効率、および触媒との電子伝達の向上が重要であることを明らかにし、亜鉛ポルフィリンでは光励起一重項状態と三重項状態を経由したメチルビオローゲンへの電子移動過程と逆電子移動過程に焦点を当てた実験を行っている。
