ポストリチウム電池用ポリアニオン系新規電極材料の開発

研究概要	次世代の安価高電圧ポストリチウムイオン電池用正極活物質開発にあたって今年度得られた主な成果を下に列記する。 1)格子内に3次元的に広がる大きな格子空孔を有し、リチウムイオンの挿入・脱離が容易な(P_2O_7)^<4->ピロリン酸系LiFeP_2O_7において、中心金属をVおよびTiに置換した化合物の単相化と、X線Rietveld法による結晶構造の精密化に成功した。また、中心金属を3d遷移金属から高酸化状態の安定な4d、5d遷移金属であるMoおよびWに置換した系を合成し、その指数付けに成功した。この中で、特に中心金属に5d遷移金属(W)を用いることにより、3d、4d系に比ぺ大幅にエネルギー密度の向上が可能となった。縮合塩系は価数変化幅の大きなレドックスと錯体を組むことによって、オリピンでは2価/3価の1段のレドックスしか取れないのに対し、2段のレドックスが原理的に可能であることを実証した。 2)MP_2O_7ピロリン酸系類縁リン酸化合物として新規正極(MoO_2)_2P_2O_7の単相合成に成功し、この系でMoが6価から4価までのレドックス反応に起因する、リン酸系としては最高の可逆容量となる200mAh/gの充放電反応が得られた。 3)リチウム電池用新規4d、5d遷移金属含有リン酸塩系正極の中から、特にリチウム電池用正極として高エネルギー密度を示し、X線リートベルト解析により構造中に直径1.9Aの大きさのNaイオンのサイトとなりうる3次元的に広がった空孔を有していることを確認できたMoP_2O_7、WP_2O_7、(MoO_2)_2P_2O_7について、そのナトリウム電池用正極としての適応性を調べた結果、特に(MoO_2)_2P_2O_7においてナトリウム電池用正極としてはこれまでで最高の可逆容量となる150mAh/gの充放電が得られることを見出した。
