ユニタリ表現の分岐則の理論と幾何構造の変換群による非可換調の解析

研究概要	(1)一般の擬リーマン多様体に対し、その共形変換群の表現を山辺作用素を用いて構成する新しい方法をOrsted教授と提唱した。得られた表現は、conformal geometryの立場からは自然であり、多くの場合(もとの多様体がコンパクトであっても)無限次元になる。さらに、この表現の普遍性を定式化して証明した。 (2)擬リーマン空間形あるいはその直積空間に対して、(1)で述べた表現の構成を具体的に実行した。そこで得られた表現は、もとの多様体が偶数次元の場合には、不定値直交群O(p+1,q+1)の極小ユニタリ表現と同型であることを証明した。さらに、この表現と(他の群の極小ユニタリ表現であり、過去に多くの研究のある)Weil表現との関連の探求も進めた。 (3)極小ユニタリ表現を共形同値な種々の幾何モデルにおいて構成し、(共形変換群の部分群である)等長変換群に制限したときのスペクトル分解(ユニタリ表現の分岐則)を、代数的のみならず解析的なデータを込めて具体的に決定した。その特別な場合として、ある種の半単純対称空間上に極小ユニタリ表現を構成することにも成功した。 (1)から(3)の成果は、チェコ共和国で行われた国際会議で連続講演し、その講義録を書き上げた([2])。また、120ページにわたる本論文([3],[4],[5],[7])を発表した。 (4)当該研究者によって提唱された離散的分岐則の基礎理論について、現時点における成果の概要を世界数学者会議(ICM2002北京)の招待講演で発表した(文献[1])。また、同理論をより詳細に解説したEuropean School on Group Theoryでの講義録を作成準備中である。さらに、シンガポールやオランダにおける国際会議でも招待講演を行った。
