気体の方程式系の解の漸近挙動と非線形波の安定性に関する研究

研究概要

気体の運動を記述するいくつかの方程式系に対し、解の時間無限大での漸近挙動とそこに現れる非線形波の漸近安定性を調べ、次のような成果を得た。
1)空間n次元の粘性的保存則方程式に対し、L^p型のソボレフ空間W^{1,p}におけるエネルギー法を開発し、解のW^{1,P}ノルムに対して最良の時間減衰評価を示した。L^p空間におけるエネルギー法は既知であったが、解の導関数に対するL^p型のエネルギー法の開発は新しい成果である。このエネルギー法は半空間の問題に対しても有効である。
2)空間n次元の粘性的保存則方程式に対し、空間的に単調増加な1次元平面波の漸近安定性を1)のエネルギー法に基づき考察した。このような平面波としては、全空間の場合は希薄波、半空間の場合は定常波、希薄波およびこれら2つの重ね合せの3通りがあるが、これらが空間n次元的初期摂動に対して漸近安定であることを、摂動部分に対するW^{1,p}ノルムでの最良の減衰評価を示すことで証明した。
3)熱平衡状態への緩和過程を取り入れた気体の運動は、緩和項と呼ばれる低階項をもつ双曲型保存則系で記述される。空間n次元の緩和的双曲型保存則系に対して、エントロピー関数の数学的定義を与え、それに基づき系の消散的構造を明らかにするとともに、系が消散的対称双曲型系の正準形に帰着されることを示した。この成果は、緩和的双曲型保存則系に対するChapman-Enskog型理論の展開や解の時間大域的存在証明の基礎を与えるものである。
