層状窒化物超伝導体の開発と応用

研究概要

当研究者らは、先に、ZrNおよびHfNの層状ハニカム層を含む窒化物β-MNX(M=Zr, Hf ; X=Cl, Br, I)の層間にアルカリ金属をインターカレーションし、MN層に電子をドープすることにより、高い臨界温度(Tc)を有する超伝導体が得られることを見出している。本研究では、引き続き、新規層状窒化物超伝導体の開発、超伝導機構の解明、薄膜化を目的として、研究を推進する。平成14年度の主な研究成果の概要は次の通りである。
1.^<15>Nで同位体置換したβ-HfNClを合成し、リチウムをインターカレーションして、超伝導体を作成した。NMRおよび磁気特性の同位体効果を測定し、超伝導機構の特異性を議論した。
2.β-MNCl(M=Zr, Hf)からの塩素の完全デインターカレーションおよび部分デインターカレーションによる層状超伝導体の合成:アルカリ金属アジ化物を用いて、層間塩素のデインターカレーションを行い、アルカリ金属のインターカレーションと同様に、窒化物層に電子をドープすることが可能であり、安定な超伝導体が得られることを明にした。この試料を用いて、物性研究者との共同研究により、超伝導機構の解明に重要な超伝導ギャップの測定に成功した。
3.β-MNX(M=Zr, Hf ; X=Cl, Br, I)全ての単結晶の高圧合成に成功し、構造解析を行った。リチウムをインターカレーションしたLi_<0.1>ZrNClについても、単結晶X線構造解析を行い、インターカレーションによって、結晶層の積み重なりの様式が変化することを明らかにした。
4.新規物性が期待できる層状窒化物として、Sr_2N薄膜をMgO基板上に配向膜として作成することに成功した。電気伝導度測定により、〜10^5Scm^<-1>の金属伝導体であることを明らかにした。(Cr, Ti)N薄膜についても、研究を進めている。
