研究概要	我々が開発した新規有機π電子系1-アリール-2,5-ジチエニルピロールにトリシアノエテニル基を導入した化合物(1)は、安定な金色光沢結晶を与える。これは、有機π電子系が分子間で強く相互作用することによるものであるが、本年度の研究では、この特異な現象を「有機π電子系凝縮化学」として捉え、基礎から応用まで研究を展開した結果、以下の成果を挙げることができた。 1)金属光沢発現の基礎的・理論的探求平成14年度に得た知見を基盤にして、基本となる化合物1-アリール-2-(2-チエニル)-5-(5-トリシアノエテニル-2-チエニル)ピロール(1)および1-アリール-2,5-ビス(5-トリシアノエテニル-2-チエニル)ピロール(2)から展開して、チオフェン環やピロール環に代わりうるπ電子系を有する化合物を合成し、それらの結晶で金属光沢が発現できるか、また金属光沢発現する場合の結晶構造と金属色との関係を明らかにした。 2)ナノテクノロジー材料としての活用金属色発現を「有機π電子系分子の凝縮」で実現できるが、この凝縮を保ちつつ、化合物(1)のアリール基に長鎖アルキル基などを導入することによって結晶内の金属色発現部分を自在に配列させることができた。 3)電気伝導性材料への展開と光機能付与の検討これまでに、化合物群(1)は電子受容体ドープにより電気伝導性を示すことを明らかにしたが、末端チオフェン環に電子供与性基であるメトキシ基やジフェニルアミノ基を導入すると、電気伝導性が向上することを明らかにした。
