動物の移動・定着に伴う病原体の伝播に関する分子疫学調査:病原体生態史観から日本在来馬の起源を韓国・中国・モンゴルへと遡る

研究概要	本研究の目的は、東アジア地域(朝鮮半島、中国東北部・モンゴル)の在来馬とその子孫(交雑種)の中でのロドコッカス・エクイ強毒株の病原性プラスミドの分布をアジアの在来馬の伝播と分布とに対比させながら宿主寄生体関係の変遷を分子疫学的に検討し、病原体の伝播を日本在来馬の祖先の末裔と考えられる蒙古馬を遡ることによって解明するものである。平成15年度は中国の在来馬の調査を行うため、長春農牧大学獣医学院王哲学部長並びに関係教員との打ち合わせを平成15年4月に行った。同時期にSARSが中国国内で流行し、平成15年度夏季期間の本格調査は平成16年度に延期となった。そこで、平成15年度は韓国・済州島の調査を済州大学獣医学部のDr.Sonの協力を得て継続した。韓国の在来馬である済州馬と、サラブレッド種の糞便から分離された89株とその飼育環境土壌から分離された98株、さらに感染子馬の肺病変部から分離された16株の合計203株について毒力と病原性プラスミドを検索した。VapA陽性を示す強毒株は34株分離され、その病原性プラスミドは、90-kbII型が15株、90-kbV型が19株分離された。これは、済州島での本症初発報告であり、さらに、昨年度と同様に、2種類の病原性プラスミドが強毒株に広く分布していることが明らかとなった。更に・平成16年2月にはモンゴル・ウランバートルのState Central Veterinary Laboratory(動物衛生研究所)を訪問し、平成16年度のモンゴルにおける調査の打ち合わせを行い、平成16年6月の本格調査の詳細を決定した。平成16年夏にはSARSで中止になった中国の調査も行う予定である。
