新しく発見した下痢原性シュードモナス・フルオレッセンスのアジア地域での疫学調査

研究概要	新しい小児科下痢原因菌、Pseudomonas fluorescensの発見全世界で毎年300万の小児が下痢で死亡し、30%は毒素原性大腸菌(ETEC)が原因である。一方、20%は原因菌は不明であるが主に飲料水による。そこでETECのLTを産生し環境で増殖できる菌をインドネシア、スラバヤ地域で検索した。その結果低栄養、低温の河川水で増殖できるPseudomonas fluorescens(enterotoxigenic P.fluorescens, ETPF)が、ETECのLTを産生することを発見した。本菌は小児患者の下痢便からも分離された。従って、ETPFは我々が新しく発見した小児下痢原因菌である。 2.ETPFの小児下痢原因菌としての疫学調査及び自然界の分布調査。我々はインドネシア、スラバヤ地域で小規模な疫学調査をした。共同研究者との信頼関係、JSPS、JIKAによる研究施設、試薬の整備、検査能力、研究体制は準備出来ている。期間内にインドネシァ地域など、ETPFによる小児下痢症の発生頻度、自然分布を確定できる。
