民族的共生のメカニズムに関する文化人類学的研究

研究概要

近年、世界各地で発生する民族紛争とその解決に向けた研究が重要な研究動向の一つとなってきている。本研究では、紛争解決に大きな役割をはたすと考えられる民族的共生のメカニズムを文化人類学的視点から実証的、科学的に検証し、明らかにしようとするものである。特に日本におけるアイヌの文化的-政治的要求と非暴力的な問題解決の過程、さらにその後の展開、帰属性(アイデンティティ)の形成における民族的共生の役割について分析する。
平成15年度は前年度に引き続き、フィールド調査を通してアイヌ関係情報資料の収集、整理、分析を行った。特に、文化復興運動の一環として行われているサケの初漁儀礼、歴史的人物の供養祭などの祭礼の復興、アイヌ民族文化祭、アイヌ語弁論大会などの行事、さらにはアイヌ文化に関するシンポジウム、講演会、特別展示会などについてその実態を調査し、カメラ、VTRなどによる記録、整理、分析を行った。さらに、これまでの成果、とりわけアイヌの伝統的葬儀の復興に関する文化人類学的分析について、第15回国際人類学民族科学会議、「民族紛争と紛争解決」分科会(International Congress of Anthropological and Ethnological Sciences. Section : Ethnic Conflicts and Conflict Resolutions)(平成15年7月5日〜7月12日、フローレンス大学)において研究発表、討論を行い、文化間紛争と紛争解決の文化人類学的研究全体の中での理論的に位置づけを行った。
