エクロジャイトの造岩鉱物学的研究から見る地球深部の元素循環

研究概要

(1)中国・蘇魯超高圧変成帯に産するざくろ石-レールゾライト中より、Crに富むdissakisite(allaniteのMg置換体)を見いだし、その記載を行った.そして,この相は、沈み込み帯の超苦鉄質岩において、希土類元素の貯蔵相として振る舞い,地殻とマントル間での物質相互作用にとって重要であることを示した。
(2)蘇魯超高圧変成帯・楊庄露頭より採取したエクロジャイトの微量元素を含めた全岩組成分析およびゾイサイトを対象としたSr同位体組成の累帯構造の検討とSr同位体初生値の推定を行った。その結果、超高圧変成岩の上昇過程において、変成流体の流入とそれに伴い広範囲にわたるSr同位体組成の均質化がおこったことが明かとなった。
(3)四国中央部・別子地域に産するざくろ石-ペリドタイトの組成共生関係を解析し、この岩体は原岩形成の後に部分的に加水反応が起こりうるような比較的低温の時期を経て、ほとんど等温的に3-4GPaまでの圧力上昇を経験したことを明らかにした。これは、ウェッジマントル由来の岩石が、沈み込むスラブ中に取り込まれ、深さ100km以深までもたらされたことを意味する。
(4)四国三波川帯・別子地域に想定されている瀬場エクロジャイト・ナップとそれに属さない地域中に産する含クロリトイド片岩を岩石学的・鉱物学的に比較検討した。その結果、エクロジャイト・ナップ由来の泥質片岩から、はじめてエクロジャイト相の組成共生を見いだし、それは累進エクロジャイト変成作用→減圧・加水再結晶作用→緑れん石-角閃岩相累進変成作用の変成履歴を持つことを明らかにした。一方、この試料とエクロジャイトナップに属さない試料との間には、1GPaに達する圧力差が存在する。これは、両地域間に、構造的不連続が存在することを意味し、提案されているエクロジャイト・ナップ説を強く支持している。
