入射イオン・電子弁別可能新開発半導体イオン検出器を用いたイオン絶対量計測器の開発

研究概要

新型イオン電流量絶対値計測器は、我々が新たに考案した新型斜入射式イオンエネルギー計測器の主要な着想点である、イオンのみを偏向して検出するという発想を展開し、プラズマ閉じ込め磁場(外部磁力線B)を効果的に利用した計測器である。全長約8cmとコンパクトで、数cm、数10msの空間、時間分解能を持ち、スクレープ・オフやダイバータ・プラズマから高速中性粒子入射(NBI)モニタにまで、種々のプラズマ装置で広く適用できる。
本計測器の設計に於いては、有限要素法を用いた電場計算・ルンゲ・クッタ法を用いた粒子軌道計算を詳細に行い、本計測器の原理を理論的に研究し、電子とイオンを弁別し、二次電子の影響の無い、最適な静電場配位・電極構造の検討を行った。更に、この計測器の前面にエネルギー分析用の、多重メッシュ・グリッドを配置し、静電型イオン・エネルギー・スペクトル計測器としても適用できることから、これらの計測器の動作試験、及び計測器としての感度較正を、単色エネルギー・イオン源を用いて行うととに、実際の計測環境であるガンマ10装置に設置し、プラズマ計測への適用を行い、我々独自に開発し、既に確立している「新型斜入射式イオンエネルギー計測器アレイ」[Reveiw of Scientific Instruments 72,1193(2001)]により計測された、端損失イオン電流量の半径方向分布との比較を行った。
ガンマ10セントラル部のプラズマ電位は計測器電位に対し、既設の電子サイクロトロン加熱により0-数kVにわたり制御でき、この電位差でイオン加速が成され、更に温度分布分のエネルギー拡がりを持ち、広エネルギー域イオンが生成される。このイオンを測定し、本新型計測器の広範なプラズマ計測性能を実証・確立した。
