研究概要

1)Cavity Ring Down(CRD)干渉計の設計・製作を行った。入射光としては、連続出力最大90mWのHe-Neレーザーを用い、光変調器(AOM)を用いてパルス化するCW-CRD法を採用した。この場合プラズマ透過部分が高反射率(本実験では反射率0.9999以上)をもつミラー2枚で構成された光共振器で、参照波には共振器が不要となることが考えられ、透過波-参照波間の位相変化の評価が容易になる。初期実験としてCRD時間の確認を行ない、理論計算で予想される値と矛盾しないことを確認した。
2)光学実験台においてマッハチェンダー形の干渉計を構成し、透過波と参照波を混合し、干渉縞が得られることを確認した。プラズマ装置(誘導結合型高周波励起プラズマ:ICP)への適用は準備中である。
3)上記と並行して、パルス幅3-5ns、出力10mJをもつアルゴンイオンレーザーを用い、共振器が1系統ですみシステムが比較的容易な吸収法をプラズマに適用している。プラズマを通過する光路の共振器は,プラズマチェンバーの真空窓を兼用した。透過信号は広帯域アンプで増幅,高速ディジタイザに入力し波形解析を行った。プラズマを通る光路のCRD時間の変化から,光脱離過程による負イオン生成によるレーザー光の吸収の効果を評価し、負イオン密度を求めた。実験結果を負イオンプローブと比較したところ、両者の結果が誤差の範囲で一致していることが確かめられた。
