I have completed data collection for my experimental study investigating cultural diffusion of arbitrary objesct-related behaviors in Japanese macaques, using the open group diffusion paradigm and, powerful, two-action method. I extended the tranmission phase of this study to many more sessions than planned (from 20 to 90 sessions for each group). A similar study on chimpanzees had only 20 sessions, but it became apparent that many more would be required to elucidate the phenomenon in monkeys.
