研究実績の概要 |
First fieldwork in Cameroon executed. Over 52 and 75 water samples including groundwater (boreholes, open wells, spring water) and surface water (rivers and streams) were collected in Douala and Yaounde, respectively. In both cities, rainwater sampling devices have been reinstalled for monthly rainfall collection from January-December 2015. Chemical analyses of collected water samples are going on at Tokai University. -Contributed to the JSPS Science Dialogue Program: February 23, 2015- presentation (Hydrology and its significance to water resources management) to Kumagaya High School Students in Saitama. -First conference abstract (Stable isotope characteristics of monthly rainfall at the Douala and Yaounde urban cities, Cameroon) submitted and accepted for presentation on May 25 at the JpGU 2014 Meeting. -Writing first manuscript (Stable isotope characteristics of monthly rainfall at the Douala and Yaounde urban cities in Cameroon, Central Africa: Local meteoric water lines).

今後の研究の推進方策 |
Monthly Rainwater is sampled from April 2015 to August 2016. Chemical analyses is carried out from April-May 2015. The first manuscript is written until May 2015. The second manuscript is Drafted from June 2015. The second fieldwork is carried out in September-October 2015 for the sampling of surface water and groundwater. Chemical analyses (major ions, trace elements and stable isotopes) is carried out in November 2015-February 2016. The third manuscripts is drafted for the result/data interpretation, groundwater quality-flow mapsin February -May 2016. The compilation and submission of report are made for the awareness meeting with municipal authorities in June-September 2016.
