研究概要	(BO)_2Br(H_2O)_3について、巨視的な単結晶と、高分子に組み込まれた微結晶薄膜試料を作成した。それぞれ、大気下と五酸化リンによる乾燥条件下での導電性を測定し、乾燥条件下で電気抵抗が増大することを明らかにした。この機構を解明するため、単結晶試料の導電性と格子定数の湿度異存性を検討した。その結果、湿度依存挙動は結晶内部たまで至る結晶水の出入りによるものであることが判った。ただし、後に上記乾燥条件下では、(微)結晶の質が著しく劣化すること、ならびに、薄膜に金や銅を直接接触させると、錯体微結晶が変質することが見出され、実験データの再検討を行い始めた。これらの実験の中でも、湿度依存導電挙動は明瞭に観測されており、現在、より再現性に富んだデータを収集中である。分子変形を伴う特異な金属・絶縁体転移を示す(EDO-TTF)_2PF_6について、学外研究者と共同して、この転移を光誘起する事を試みた。低温相に、120fsecのパルス幅を持つレーザー光(ポンプ光)を照射し、反射率の変化を観測したところ明瞭な変化が見られた。ポンプ光による試料の昇温は、大きく見積もっても10Kに至らないと考えられ、この反射率変化が光誘起相転移によるものであると結論された。反射率のポンプ光強度依存性と時間変化を調べたところ、本光誘起相転移が極めて高効率・超高速に進んでいることが判った。即ち、1光子あたり1000個桁のドナー分子が転移し、応答時間は20psec以下であった。現在、熱的性質の検討と共に、時間分解構造解析に向けた基礎実験を行っている。その他の成果として、Mott絶縁体で、あるκ-(ET)_2Cu_2(CN)_3の基底状態が、スピン液体状態であることを明らかにした。また、C_<60>^・,C_<70>^・を含む多成分系錯体を作成し、温度変化に対して、成分間での可逆的なσ-結合の生成・消滅を観測した。
